Movies Under the Stars

BAYONNE, NJ - On Friday, June 24th, the Bayonne Town Center kicked off its summer movie series, Movies Under the Stars, by showing the original 1953 War of the Worlds. An estimated 300 people attended this event and enjoyed not only the feature film, but a performance by Radioland Theatre and 2 short films written and produced by BHS students.

“We had a great turn out for this event and we look forward to our upcoming Movies Under the Stars events,” said Cathy Jakubowski, District Manager of the Bayonne Town Center.

The Bayonne Town Center will show 2 more movies this summer. They will present Monty Python and the Holy Grail on July 29 th (rain date 7/30), and the original King Kong on August 26th (rain date 8/27), both movies will start at 9pm. All Movies Under the Starts events are held in Parking lot #3, at 22nd Street and Del Monte Drive.

Pictured is the Radioland Theatre Troupe as they perform the War of the Worlds radio Broadcast. Radioland Theatre will also perform when the Bayonne Town Center presents the original King Kong.
