BTC Celebrates Grand Opening
BAYONNE, NJ – June 30, 2006 - On Tuesday, June 6th, the Bayonne Town Center held its Grand Opening at its new location, 8 East 22nd Street. The move signifies the first time the Bayonne Town Center offices are located on street level which will enable us to better serve the Bayonne community as well as the merchants within our district. Shoppers can feel free to drop in for information concerning our events and promotions throughout the year and merchants can easily access us in reference to our Jump Start Facade Program as well as other merchant-oriented programs that the Town Center runs.
Over 50 guests were present as Mayor Joseph V. Doria, Jr., with the help of Cathy Jakubowski, Executive Director, and Mary Divock, BTC Chairperson, cut the red ribbon. Guests included directors and staff members from the City of Bayonne, Bayonne Town Center Board Members, various members of the press as well as district merchants. Among the press were reporter Jeff Henig and a camera crew from Channel 18, Margo Chaly of the Jersey Journal, and Lucia Malato, Dave Unger and Kelly Kobryn of the Bayonne Community News.
Executive Director of the BTC, Cathy Jakubowski stated, “On behalf of the Bayonne Town Center Management, I would like to thank Affordable Home Improvements, Hudson Awning, Vital Signs, William B. Willensky Paints, and Brandon Gomez for all their hard work in preparing our new office. Special thanks to Richard Martin for all his time and efforts in renovating the office.”
