Summer Sidewalk Sale

BAYONNE, NJ – July 25, 2006 - On Thursday July 13th through Saturday July 15th, the Bayonne Town Center hosted its 26th Annual Sidewalk Sale.  The sale took place on Broadway between 17th-30th streets.  Store owners lined the streets with a surplus of merchandise for Bayonne residents and those in the surrounding communities to shop till their hearts’ content.  Also, a few restaurants participated by setting up a table and chairs outside of their restaurant.

The Peal Collection, founded by Alice Lotosky and Pricilla Ege, displayed photographs of “Old Broadway” at 8 East 22nd Street during the week of the sidewalk sale.  Many people enjoyed the display while shopping along the avenue.  If you didn’t have a chance to see the display during the sidewalk sale, stop by The Bayonne Town Center office at 8 East 22nd Street, as the display will be extended. 

Make sure you save the date for our upcoming summer events!  The next car show is scheduled for Thursday, August 17th on Broadway between 17th & 20th Streets from 6-9pm.  Also in August, the Bayonne Town Center will present the 3rd movie in our Movies Under the Stars events.  Tuesday, August 22nd we will feature Young Frankenstein in the parking lot at 22nd Street & Del Monte Drive at dusk.
