Scooter makes appearance at Movies Under the Stars

BAYONNE, NJ – August 2, 2007 - On Friday, July 27th, the Bayonne Town Center held the second film in the 2007 Movies Under the Stars series.  Visitors brought their lawn chairs to the parking lot at 22nd street and Del Monte Drive to watch Field of Dreams.  Beforehand, the Bayonne Town Center gave away 2 copies of the Field of Dreams DVD, a $50 Gift Certificate to Colonial House of Pets, 2 gift baskets, and 10 sets of tickets to upcoming Staten Island Yankees games donated by the Staten Island Yankees.  Scooter the Holy Cow (Staten Island Yankees mascot) was also in attendance entertaining the crowd before the film began.

Ron Leir and Joseph Foley performed the classic Abbot & Costello routine Who’s on First.  We would like to thank them for their time and hard work that was put into making this performance enjoyable for our guests.

We would also like to send a big thank you to The Polish-American Home for supplying our energy so that the film could be shown.  Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Bayonne Town Center events are made possible trough the generous support of our sponsors: Bayonne Urban Enterprise Zone, Shop Rite of Bayonne, Bayonne Community Bank, William Dundas IV Mechanical Contractors, Aaron’s Gold, Pamrapo Savings Bank, Provident Bank, and the Staten Island Yankees.

Join us for our next movie Tuesday, August 28th in the parking lot at 22nd Street and Del Monte Drive.  This date is a change from our original schedule.  The Bayonne Town Center will be featuring The Muppets Take Manhattan.  Movie begins at dusk.
