BTC Hosts 50's Costume Contest & a Trubute to the King!

BAYONNE, NJ – April 18, 2010 - Join the Bayonne Town Center for the Classic Car Show on Thursday, August 19th from 6-9pm on Broadway from 17th-20th Streets.  Bayonne’s own Eddie O’Rourke will perform and host our 50’s Costume Contest!  Dress up the whole family in leather jackets, poodle skirts, or use your imagination and head on over to compete!  There will be 3 categories: adult (18 & up), adolescent (9-17), and kids(8 and under) and trophies will be awarded to the 1st place winner in each category.  We are holding this special event in honor of the King!

We will also have slot car racing and RC racing presented by Pastime Hobbies.  Compete in our slot car tournament for your chance to win a trophy!  Classic Cars provided by Liberty Classic Cars.  Your favorite oldies will be spun by DJ Express!

We will also hold an Elvis Coloring Contest!  Children 3-5 and 6-8 are welcome to submit their colored picture of Elvis (featured in the Bayonne Community News) to the Bayonne Town Center by August 16th.  Our office is located at 8 East 22nd Street where the pictures will be displayed.
