Bayonne Town Center Hosts Annual Tree Lighting

BAYONNE, NJ – November 14, 2007 - Come join us as we usher in the Holiday Season!  The Bayonne Town Center would like to announce that we will hold our Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Monday, November 19th.  This year’s tree lighting will be held at 6:00pm on 25th Street & Broadway.  The Tree Lighting Ceremony will include the arrival of Santa on a fire truck, an ongoing Bayonne Town Center tradition.  Make sure to bring your camera!  Santa will be on hand to take pictures and to listen to children’s wish lists.  Various Bayonne school choirs will enliven our celebration with selections of holiday music, and Acting Mayor Terrence Malloy will do the honor of lighting the tree.  Special guest star singing Elvis favorites, Eddie O’Rourke!

In addition to the Tree Lighting, the Bayonne Town Center is holding various holiday events throughout the season.  On Saturday, December 1st from 11am-3pm, we will provide Horse & Buggy Rides with Santa on 22nd Street & Broadway.  On Saturday, December 15th from 8:30-11:30am, we will host a special Breakfast with Santa at the Fire House Recreation Center 597 Broadway.  Reservations are required for this event.  Also, on Tuesday, December 4th at 4:30pm, we will present our Annual Menorah Lighting Ceremony at Bayonne Community Bank 510 Broadway.  All Bayonne Town Center events are free to the public.
