44th Annual Toys for Tots

BAYONNE, NJ – November 23, 2008 - Chairman Lou Giovanni, Robert Geis, and Joe Calcaterra have announced that the Bayonne detachment #191 of the Marine Corps League will be holding the 44th Annual Toys for Tots drive on Thursday, December 11th through Monday, December 15th.  A 5 ton Army truck form the Army Reserve Center at Caven Point in Jersey City will be parked at the corner of 25th Street & Broadway in front of McDonald’s to collect the donated toys.

The toys collected will be given to Eleanor Tiefenwerth, the Director of the B.E.O.F., to distribute them to needy families in Bayonne.  The Bayonne detachment expressed their gratitude to the citizens of Bayonne for their past generosity to this cause and look forward to another successful drive this year.  Semper Fidelis!
