Festival of Lights Menorah Lighting

BAYONNE, NJ – December 20, 2006 - On Monday, December 28th, the Bayonne Town Center held its annual Menorah Lighting Ceremony at Bayonne Community Bank. Four lights were lit as this was the fourth day of the Hanukah celebration.   Rabbi Miller from Temple Emanu-El led children from the Hebrew School at Temple Emanu-El and those that attended in Jewish prayers.  The children were prepared for the Menorah lighting by Ms. Varda Wendroff.  The Bayonne Town Center would like to thank Dr. Ellen Goldberg for all her help in preparing for this event.  Also, thanks to Richard Martin (BTC Board Member & owner of the Candle Cottage) & Kenny Jaworski for their help in setting up the Menorah display.  In attendance were Mayor Joseph Doria, Council President Vincent LoRe & Councilman Ted Connolly.  We would also like to thank Bayonne Community Bank for helping us host this event.

Bayonne Town Center events are made possible through the generous support of our sponsors:  The Bayonne UEZ, Shop Rite, Bayonne Community Bank.  We would also like to thank the various Departments of the City of Bayonne for all their support.  Special thanks to Mayor Joseph V. Doria, Jr.

With so many unique and wonderful businesses within walking distance, the Bayonne Town Center is the most convenient place to shop.  Also, many of the Bayonne Town Center businesses are members of the UEZ which means that you pay only 3.5% sales tax.  Local and economical, the Bayonne Town Center is the easy choice for shopping.
