Marketing Workshop Held for Bayonne Businesses

BAYONNE, NJ – April 4th, 2006 - The Bayonne Town Center, the Bayonne UEZ and the Bayonne Economic Development Corporation held a Marketing Workshop at the Big Apple Restaurant.  Scott Schultz, an expert from The Marketing Department, discussed with over 40 merchants, concepts and strategies aimed at helping to improve their businesses.  The workshop was able to help business owners understand their unique value to the market, how to compete with larger markets, and how to identify customers and their needs.  “Local business differs from their larger competitors in that they can know and care about their customers as individuals,” stated Scott Schultz of the Marketing Department.

We were so pleased with the number of business owners that decided to take advantage of this opportunity.  Their dedication to their businesses is evident by them taking the time out of their already busy schedules to attend this event,” stated Cathy Jakubowski, Executive Director of the Bayonne Town Center.

All the business owners that attended the event will receive free phone consultations for one year and three of the businesses will be selected to receive an intensive one-on-one development of a strategic marketing plan from The Marketing Department.  To be eligible to be selected for the one-on-one consultations, you must be a UEZ member.  For more information on how to become a member of the UEZ, call Terrence Malloy and Dee Dee Bottino at 201-858-6357.
