BAYONNE, NJ – June 26, 2009. On Saturday, June 20th the Bayonne Town Center and City of Bayonne hosted the 1st Annual Ice Cream Eating Contest at St. Michael’s Parish Hall.  20 teams of Fathers and their children signed up to see how much ice cream they could eat in 10 minutes.  The winners in the younger category were Adel & Ali Merdan with 2nd place winners Lawrence & Ronnie Butto and 3rd place winners Robert & Robert Lee.  In the older category the winners were Jose Ortiz & Antonio Santiago, with 2nd place winners James & James Hnidourcz, and 3rd place winners Gail Sarno & Joseph Stevenson.

Our winners won Gift Certificates to CKO Kickboxing, MP3 players donated by Carvel and Carvel Gift Certificates.  Thanks so much to our sponsors for making this event possible! Also thanks to our judges, Councilman Connolly and Vito DeMarco for their help during the contest.  We would also like to thank Aida Figueroa of Pastime Hobbies and a BTC Board Member for all her help and also the staff from Carvel for all their help.
