The Bayonne Town Center Kicks off the Holiday Season
BAYONNE, NJ – November 29, 2008. The Bayonne Town Center held its Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Monday, November 24th. Talented students from the BHS choir Sweet Harmony and the choir from Holy Family Academy performed for the Town Center’s guests. Arlette of Liugi & Arlette also made a special appearance to serenade the crowd! Santa handed out gift bags full of goodies to all those children who attended this event. Mayor Mark Smith, as well as Council President Vincent Lo Re, Councilman Ted Connolly, and Councilman Gary LaPelusa were on hand to celebrate the beginning of the Holiday Season. Over 250 people joined us for this event and we look forward to sharing our other holiday events with the Bayonne community. Thanks to Leo Smith for agreeing to be our emcee for the night, he did a great job! Also, the night wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of Joe Mortola and the DPW workers that worked endless hours in order to have every tree lit for the holiday season!
